Windows 10 is supposed to use Fid0 2 instead of the password or standalone pin. I've added the keys to my Microsoft account. It won't let me even attempt to log in using either key. I've got the key setup as the stock configuration with U2F and Fido 2 both enabled, and windows clearly can see the key, but when I go to log in, it just tries to force me to set a "Windows Hello" pin, or enter a password or pin. Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in Options -> Security Key, and it just asks me to set press my button, then allows me to either set or change a pin, or reset the key entirely. ![]() I'm adding my Yubikey in my windows settings. I will also use mine for GPG and maybe even PIV, but first things first. So I got some Yubikeys because my family are terrible about maintaining passwords and windows hello pins, to at least force them to have some semblance of security. ![]()
